15 Minute Spaghetti al Sugo with Black Garlic

Spaghetti al Sugo is classic Italian comfort food—a silky tomato sauce tossed through pasta using just a handful of everyday ingredients. It's quick, satisfying and proof that dinner doesn't need to be complicated to be delicious.

This version adds a subtle black garlic twist. A spoonful of Neudorf Black Garlic Puree, a splash of Black Garlic Essence, and a sprinkle of Black Garlic Sea Salt build incredible depth without overpowering the fresh tomatoes and herbs. The result is a rich, savoury tomato sauce that tastes like it has simmered for hours, yet it's ready in less than 15 minutes.

Whether you're cooking for one, feeding the family, or simply looking for an easy weeknight dinner, this recipe delivers big flavour with very little effort.

What is Spaghetti al Sugo?

Spaghetti al Sugo is a traditional Italian pasta dish made with a simple tomato sauce. It typically includes tomatoes, olive oil, onion or shallot and fresh herbs, allowing the quality of each ingredient to shine.

Can I make Spaghetti al Sugo in 15 minutes?

Yes. Using quality canned tomatoes and a few pantry staples means this version is ready in around 15 minutes while still delivering rich, homemade flavour.

Why add black garlic to tomato sauce?

Black garlic adds natural sweetness, gentle umami and extra depth without making the sauce taste strongly of garlic. It complements tomatoes beautifully and creates a more rounded, savoury finish.

What pasta works best?

Angel hair spaghetti cooks quickly, making it ideal for this recipe, but spaghetti, linguine or fettuccine also work well.
